Early Thursday morning, starting at Midnight, it started snowing in Dallas. The snow did not stop until 3 AM on Friday morning. The DFW area had an average of 12.5 inches of snow! WOW! It was so much fun. Everyone had to go to work on Thursday, but we got out early. We ran a few errands, just in case we couldn't get out, and then went and played in the snow. It seemed like everyone else had the same idea. There were so many people walking around and having fun in the snow. I saw the most snowmen I have ever seen in my life, and some pretty huge ones at that. It was also kind of nice; as people walked around everyone said hello to one another and smiled. I think the snow brought some joy and happiness to Dallas. It was so much fun. Here are two pictures. Enjoy!
This was around 8 AM on Friday morning.
Ryan and I having fun at the lakes across the street from us.
OMG!!! Today Kristy and I ran 5.19 miles. And boy was it hard. Now I am very sore. This run was a lot harder than 4 miles. And I guess it will only get harder. But that's what training is all about right? This 1/2 marathon is going to be very challenging, but also very rewarding. It felt very good finishing what we did today, I can only imagine the day of the race! I have never ran anything over 3 miles before deciding to do this...So I guess being 25 will bring on a lot of firsts.
Yes, now I am 25 years old. I had a wonderful birthday. My mom and brother came up and we got to have a great weekend together. We lost our soccer game again, but it was so much fun. I really do enjoy playing and will be sad when this season is over...maybe we can sign up for another season. And I think Ryan said he would play with us, so that would be super fun!
Here is what Kristy gave me for my birthday...
Isn't my sister great? I love her so much :)
Tomorrow we go to the doctor's to get the rest of our paperwork filled out. Hopefully everything will work out just fine and we can send our stuff out tomorrow evening. We shall see, and then more waiting, but that's ok. Until later...
